One year when visiting my father for the holidays he introduced me to the great game of Warmachine & Hordes. I was instantly drawn to the hordes side of the house. The Grim Angus artwork and blurb drew me into the Trollblood faction instantly. After numerous defeats I shelved Grim and moved on to other casters. Now almost two years later Grim Angus and I have been hitting the dojo and it's time for his triumphant return.
First things first lets have a look at my Grim list.
Grim Angus
*Earthborn
*Bomber
*Imapler
-Runebearer
Gatorman Witch Doctor
Stone Scribe Chronicler
Scattergunners
-Scattergunner UA
Burrowers
Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes
-Stone Scriber Elder
Min Farrow Bone Grinders
Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew
If I could define Grim Angus in one word it would be Versatile. I wanted to compound this strength by making his list as versatile as possible. I do run a great risk of having too much overlap thus making the list a heaping pile of shit. However, each model in the list is fairly proficient at multiple roles so the trick will be making the most of each piece. I am very light on armor cracking in this list which could also pose a problem. The list is meant to be paired with a beast brick and longrider caster though, so I can potentially avoid an armor skew match-up. If I find myself in an armor skew match-up (which I will do in a battle report) I hope the list has enough jam and denial to squeeze out a scenario victory before I am forced to deal with the armor.
I think the list has many strengths and I would sum them up as follows; jam, counter-jam, and denial.
They're drunk Scottish football hooligans. The flaming caber just adds so much to that image. "'Ey lads, let's set it afire!" "YEEAAAHH" Oleeee ole ole oleeee... ~Not Dice~

Parting the Red Sea ~ Lists w/Strategy by Nosrek
Example Lists
Queen of the Red Sea: Grissel Bloodsong, Fell Caller 35 pts
Grissel
Bomber
Impaler
Runebearer
Janissa Stonetide
Full Bushwacker
Stone Scribe Chronicler
Full Fennblades +UA
I often tend to build lists with balance in mind, this list is fairly balanced but really lacks a way to deal with heavy armor easily. Its strengths lie in out of activation movement, large threat range, and numerous ways to remove a target. Many may look at this and say "nosrek, this isn't really a melee oriented army, how does Parting the red sea help?". My response would be Grissel's greatest spell is calamity, she needs to be within 8" of an enemy to make this happen. Grissel is queen for a reason, she controls the sea with amazing precision. Hoof it and hallowed avenger make it very hard for the waves to reach her and to top it off my tarpit has vengence.
The first question I ask myself when I run this list is, "What will I do if I go up against some arm 20+ heavies". The trick is, combo from hell. Fennblades can actually kill things, if you do something like calamity with some charge of the trolls. I really like our lights with reach weapons for this reason. It makes it easy to engage an enemy and still leave room for 2-3 (what i manage to do on average) fennblades to go charging in.

"Dude, Grim Angus is after you..." A Guide to a Popular Crowd Pleaser - by Phlippieskezer
(Please note: I am still using the Final Online Update PDF to write this, will edit when I get the card deck, if there were any changes. Also, I'm going to note other characters from other armies that I have much love for, so don't be offended.)
First off, Grim Angus is arguably our most mobile warlock. He is also very accurate. This will be a very brief guide on how to use him.
Ever felt your friend likes Allister Caine a little too much? How about Ashlynn D'Elyse? Do you think he/she is fielding so many high DEF models that you just want to pound your head against the table? Fear not, when your opponents see this guy on the field, they'll wet themselves. That being said, he can also do well against high armour targets, like a mainstream Khador list.
